       Rotifers have fascinated me since 1933 when I was invited to study with the world authority rotiferologist Frank J. Myers. My ten year study of rotifer populations in southern Florida was published with Paul Turner: Hydrobiologia 387-388: 55-63, 1998. During the years, it became obvious that procedures were not taking advantage of modern materials and reagents and that some instruments were not compatible with modern microscopes. ROTIFERS describes the revolutionary techniques and instruments I developed with precision and archival integrity in mind.

The book covers: Taylor Microcompressor for restraining the movement of living forms as small as 5µm and rotating them to obtain different aspects.
